In the spirit of giving, The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® presented by Harris is proud to announce the launch of The Extra Mile: Acts of Kindness to Start the Holiday Season.
The campaign shines a spotlight on the good deeds, offerings and special activities taking place along The Magnificent Mile® on Sunday, November 22, 2009 and throughout the holiday season. Below are scheduled activities and programs that will be available at Magnificent Mile district shops, restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues and attractions in support of a variety of charitable organizations. Accepting Donations at Complimentary Coat Check
Donations collected at the complimentary coat check will support Chicago Lights Tutoring, a free tutoring program to 400 students from Chicago’s low-income neighborhoods that provides one-to-one attention from volunteers, healthy meals, arts programming, a library, job training, and a computer lab. The coat check will be located at Level 6 and is completely complimentary.
